From our first steps in Drummondville to our jewelry house today — this is Mathieu and Chantal's entrepreneurial story.

A passion that becomes
a profession.
At 16, in my last year of high school, I had the opportunity to start as a professional piercer. After a year of training and with the support of an experienced person, I took the plunge — with all the enthusiasm, doubts and naivety that comes with being that age. At 18, I could proudly say that it was possible to make a living from my passion to the fullest.

The adventure continues and begins to bear fruit. The first professional recognitions are coming — a validation that passion and work always end up coming together.
Adrenaline Studio
Drummondville.
With savings accumulated between piercing and a few freelance graphic design contracts, the idea of a physical space was taking shape. I lacked one thing: the courage to ask my mother to support me. After a frank 30-minute family discussion, she said yes. In less than 24 hours, I had found our first space and signed a two-year lease in the heart of downtown Drummondville. Three months of renovations later, Studio Adrénaline welcomed its first clients.

From the urban shop
to the jewelry store.
If someone had warned me that I would have to work 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, invest all my savings and put my social life on hold — I might have hesitated. To be honest, a dozen people had warned me. I followed my instincts anyway. Gradually, Studio Adrenaline turned into a complete urban boutique: rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, watches — the selection grew brand after brand.
Jewelry Le Duo
was born.
On January 15, 2017, it's official: Studio Adrénaline becomes Bijouterie Le Duo. An intense mix of happiness, excitement, stress and a slight fear of breaking down at any moment — we were now part of the big family of jewelry stores in Quebec. Mom, Dad, my brothers, my aunts, my cousins, my best friend — everyone pitched in. A lot of work, even more love.
The end of a chapter,
the beginning of another.
On February 8, 2018, with a heavy heart, I announced the closure of Bijouterie Le Duo. An offer too interesting to refuse had come along. I considered it the perfect opportunity to enrich my experience before the next step. Until the last day, an incredible dose of love surrounded us. We left our second home on March 1, 2018.
mathieublanchard.ca was born.
I've always wanted to create much more than just a boutique. In 2019, I finally dared to make my ultimate project a reality: to launch a fine jewelry boutique in my name. Chantal once again agreed to support me — she too felt this need for renewal. Months of hard work, attention to every detail, and mathieublanchard.ca was born.
A physical store
in the heart of Granby.
After two months of renovations, mathieublanchard.ca's first physical store opened its doors on November 1, 2021, at 30 Johnson Street in Granby. 1,200 square feet dedicated to a warm jewelry experience — a space designed to hold a piece in your hands, see it in different lights, discuss your projects face-to-face.
The workshop opens
to the public.
Since 2021, we have built strong ties with the Granby community. We have continued to invest to offer an even more enriching experience. 2024 marks an important milestone: the opening of our workshop space to the public — for the first time, our customers can see parts in progress and understand concretely what "handmade, in Quebec" means.
Today, a
jewelry house.
What started with a youthful passion and my mother's unwavering support has become, over the years, a true jewelry house. Mathieu Blanchard Joaillerie is now much more than a boutique — it's an ongoing commitment to quality, ethics and accessible beauty.
We are GIA members and offer internationally recognized certifications on a selection of pieces. We work with responsibly sourced stones, and each piece of jewelry — whether in stock or custom-made — is designed to last, to be passed on, to tell something.
